Smartness as applying of artificial intelligence in hospitality sector is enough new and it’s oriented to implementation of aims of EU 2020 strategy for smart, sustainable and inclusive growth, what we accept as crucial for EU challenges nowadays. In South Baltic programme project „CIRTOINNO“ (2016 11 – 2019 11) we focused our efforts to support innovations of SME‘s working in blue and green tourism sectors on basis of Circular economy 1.0 and 2.0 versions, which were targeted to physical save of material resources at first.
Proposed by prof. Stasys Paulauskas holistic approach named as Circular economy 3.0 enlarged circularity sense in tourism service towards economic, green, sustainable and smart qualities, which enable to save also business, manual work, natural, health and intellectual work as scope of human resources. However in CIRTOINNO this approach was used in SSI works only. Learning materials about Green economy based on Design thinking and Face-to-face learning methodology were prepared in CIRTOINNO project.
In case of the Smart Hospitality project Blended learning and virtual self-improvement will be used as ground for working out learning materials. Design thinking will be updated by Sustainable Innovation approach as everyday creation and implementation of novelties according to one of 7 EU strategic initiatives – Innovation society. Smart Hospitality Academy, differently from CIRTOINNO, will be addressed for Smart economy, not just Green.
